Damart is a well founded company based in the Bingley town centre in West Yorkshire. The old mill building was full of inefficient, extremely old light fittings which were costing Damart around £40,000 a year.
We carried out a lighting survey for Damart and explained that we could save them up to £30,000 a year in electricity bills, and a massive 137 tonnes of carbon emissions. Not only could we save them a substantial amount of money per annum, but the Carbon Trust was also willing to fund the project. Phase One cost a total of £35,000, of which the Carbon Trust funded £33,000 of this as an interest free loan, leaving Damart with a very manageable shortfall to front. Damart appreciated the need for large companies to reduce their carbon emissions, and therefore decided to take action and install our new low energy, highly efficient lighting scheme.

We replaced x215 T12 and T8 fluorescent fittings throughout the call centre and throughout the Bradley Mill sales areas with high frequency, high efficiency T5 batons. The basement areas were fitted with motion sensors to help reduce wastage.
The T5 fittings that we installed in the call centre are contemporary, low energy and most importantly for the staff working in the call centre, brighter!
Bradley Mill Sales benefitted from a system of low energy T5 batons with high efficient reflectors coupled with microwave detectors. The detectors have enabled us to make actual savings of 71% in this area alone.
If you would like to know how we can significantly reduce your bills please call us on 0113 276 1133.
The basement areas were installed with highly sensitive microwave detectors to only switch lights on in areas that are inhabited for a period of time.
The photos above show the call centre post project and the large Bradley Mills sales area. The Graduate fittings in the call centre offer even light distribution and have DSI gear to allow them to dim according to natural light coming in through the windows.
